Bob Meffley
Born in Ohio, Bob’s family moved to Perryville when his dad accepted a teaching position at the Bainbridge Naval Training Prep School. Bob loved living near the training center. He and his friends grew up going to the Olympic pool, bowling alley and various community events. Later his family relocated to Chesapeake City and Bob left his Perryville High friends and finished high school at Bo Manor. He made another great group of friends there and was even elected Student Council President, his first election!
Bob starting working when he was just 12 years old, mowing neighbors’ grass, cutting firewood. He started plumbing in high school and worked for a colorful list of characters. After high school, and some college, Bob entered the US Army. He spent three years building embassies, housing and more, all over Europe. He was Honorably Discharged as an E5 Specialist. After the Army, Bob returned home to raise his family and started H & B Plumbing and Heating in 1980.
Bob’s kids attended Cecil County Public Schools and Bob coached Little League and Soccer and was a Scout Leader. Today H & B Plumbing is managed by his son, Gregg alongside Maribeth and Chris, his daughter and son-in-law, and has 30 employees.

What We Believe
Eight years ago a friend challenged Bob to put his management skills to work helping improve local government for small business. Bob ran and was elected to Cecil County Council where he served two terms as president and is currently Vice President.
During his time on council Bob has worked hard to ensure citizen concerns are presented and thoughtfully considered. He has a reputation of getting the job done! He is diligent in researching and problem solving each issue. He believes in getting first hand information, going to the source, and talking with all parties involved. A vote for Bob is a vote for fair, intelligent decisions that help make Cecil County a great place to live
